OHALAH Board Statement Supporting President Obama’s Executive Order Prohibiting Discrimination Against LGBT Employees
We applaud President Obama for signing an Executive Order prohibiting all companies that receive a contract from the United States government from discriminating against LGBT employees and also adding gender identity to the United States government’s current prohibition of employment discrimination based on sexual orientation. We thank Rabbi David Saperstein and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism together with all the faith leaders and organizations whose efforts have helped to bring us to this moment.
